While downtown has about 550,000 residents the surrounding metro area has nearly 5.5 million and is steadily growing today. With the incredible nightlife and music scene and endless outdoor adventures to be had around the outside of the city, this makes a great stop for digital nomads to call home. Yes, there are bigger cities in the United States, but there is not a bigger airport. Atlanta International Airport is the busiest airport in the entire world and is the main hub for Delta Airlines, with flights to Europe, South America and Asia departing daily to get you wherever you need to go.
